My Teaching Philosophy"Knowledge will bring you the opportunity to make a difference." -Claire Fagin
My goal as an educator is to provide students with knowledge they need to prepare for the world. What they choose to do with the knowledge will always be up to them. I am a guide, a supporter, and an educator. My job does not end once students leave my classroom, I will be a teacher always as the students need me. These students are our future, and I will do my best to stand by them as they figure themselves and the world out. All knowledge that these students gain will give them confidence to go out into the world and do their part in making a difference. Knowledge is key into developing the better parts of us as human beings. If I can help students understand the knowledge that is given to them, why that is what education is all about. I want to create a comfortable and safe atmosphere for all the students. I want to earn their trust and assist them the best I can. I want to create an environment in which they feel comfortable enough to ask all the question they would like to without judgement. Each student is unique and different in their own way and have different learning styles. My job as a teacher is to set up each student for success and understand their learning style. I need to learn how to adapt my lessons in order to help the students understand. My hopes are that the students collaborate and help each other, learn from each other, and respect one another. It is important that the students value their differences and the diversity in the classroom. Social cognitive learning theory is explanations that describe how learning involves interactions between the learner and the social environment. The environment a student is placed in has a huge role in how the student will process information and how their experience will be. I would like to create a positive learning environment for each of my students. My purpose is to help these students to realize their potential and help guide them to the next step in their life. |
